Krystian Sporysz-Janiec, MD

2nd Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw

A graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk and a certified ultrasonographer, he is passionate about POINT-OF-CARE ultrasound (POCUS) in intensive care, with a particular focus on transcranial color Doppler (TCCD) and lung ultrasound. He has completed numerous ultrasound training programs both in Poland and abroad, including at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Wake Forest School of Medicine. He serves as a lecturer and instructor for ultrasound courses.

Dr. Adrian Wong

King’s College Hospital, London

He is a Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at King’s College Hospital in London. His primary clinical interests include the application of point-of-care ultrasound in fluid management, with a particular focus on the assessment of venous congestion and organ perfusion, as well as issues related to human factors in the intensive care unit environment.
Dr. Wong is an examiner for the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC), former chair of the Social Media and Digital Content Committee of the ESICM, Course Director of GENIUS Ultrasound, and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Fluid Academy and the Board of Directors of WINFOCUS.
He is the author of the European consensus on competencies in point-of-care ultrasound developed under the auspices of ESICM and co-author of the book Basic Ultrasound Skills “Head to Toe” for General Intensivists.

Associate Professor Tomasz Czarnik, MD, PhD, University of Opole Professor

Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and the Regional ECMO Center at the University Clinical Hospital in Opole; Professor at the University of Opole.

He serves as the Head of the Department and Clinic of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and the Regional ECMO Center at the University Clinical Hospital in Opole, and is a Professor at the University of Opole.
As a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, he has been dedicated to the development of ultrasound techniques in clinical practice for many years. He is the author of numerous scientific publications focusing on the application of ultrasound in vascular cannulation and renal replacement therapy for critically ill patients.
He is an instructor for national ultrasound courses and is actively involved in training physicians and nurses in modern therapy methods within intensive care units.

Bartosz Sadownik, MD

Specialist in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care; Assistant at the Department of Descriptive and Clinical Anatomy and the 2nd Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Medical University of Warsaw.

He is an academic lecturer and a passionate educator, actively involved in the development and teaching of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). As an instructor for numerous courses, he combines advanced anatomical knowledge with the practical application of ultrasound, particularly in the areas of vascular access, regional anaesthesia, intensive care, and emergency medicine.
He is the creator of proprietary ultrasound phantoms and trainers used in clinical education. He combines clinical experience with a passion for teaching, constantly seeking innovative methods for medical knowledge transfer.

Agata Andrzejewska, MD, PhD

Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, University Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Szczecin, Pomeranian Medical University.

She is a specialist in neuroanaesthesiology, an author of numerous scientific publications, and a long-time lecturer on traumatic brain injury (TBI), hemorrhages, and traumatic brain damage. She is the creator of the “Brain is Team” proprietary course, which focuses on holistic care for patients with central nervous system injuries.
Dr. Andrzejewska gained clinical and scientific experience through internships at leading international centers, including the renowned trauma center at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Tomasz Królicki, MD, PhD

Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Opole

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Wroclaw Medical University. He is a certified echocardiographer by the EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging). Dr. Królicki is a member of the editorial board of the journal Trials and an author of international publications. He serves as an instructor for courses in echocardiography and ultrasound within the field of intensive care.

Paweł Kutnik, MD, PhD

St. John of Dukla Lublin Region Cancer Center

He is a physician undergoing specialization in anaesthesiology and intensive care. He serves as the Polish representative of the Early Career Faculty at ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism) and is an associate editor at Clinical Nutrition ESPEN.
Dr. Kutnik is an author of scientific publications and conference presentations regarding clinical nutrition. His primary clinical and research interests include the metabolism and nutrition of critically ill patients, as well as the individualization of nutritional strategies.

Sylwia Kędziora, MD

A specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, she is affiliated with the 2nd Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw.
She is a graduate of the Medical University of Lublin and an enthusiast of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and its application in daily clinical practice. Additionally, she is a member of the liver transplant team.

A graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw and a point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) enthusiast. She is a participant in national and international ultrasound courses, constantly expanding her knowledge and skills. As an instructor for ultrasound workshops and training sessions, she actively participates in the development of ultrasound education.

She is an Assistant Professor at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, Deputy Head of the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery and Transplantology, and Head of the Central Emergency Room. She is a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, and intensive care.
For many years, she has been involved in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and serves as the director of her own proprietary courses in this field. She is the co-creator (along with Assoc. Prof. Paweł Andruszkiewicz) of the first Polish educational platform dedicated to ultrasound in emergency medicine and the co-author of the first Polish POCUS textbook

Tomasz Skalec, MD, PhD

Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław

Dr. Tomasz Skalec is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, working at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław.

He primarily focuses on anaesthesia for cardiac surgery procedures and comprehensive perioperative care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, which has allowed him to gain extensive experience in cardiac anaesthesiology and the treatment of high-risk patients.

He further developed his competencies through international internships at leading anaesthesiology and intensive care centers. Additionally, in 2023, he participated in the AKI Learning Pathway program and was awarded a scholarship for an internship at the Saolta University Care Group Galway in Ireland, under the supervision of Bairbre McNicholas.

He is an active participant in national and international conferences and scientific meetings focusing on intensive care, organ failure, and the treatment of severe ARDS, serving as both a lecturer and co-organizer of selected sessions.

Assistant Professor 2nd Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Medical University of Warsaw.
He is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care, having completed his medical training at the Medical University of Warsaw and in the United Kingdom, at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital.
Dr. Zawadka is the author of numerous publications in international scientific journals. His primary research interests include point-of-care ultrasound and education in intensive care. He is a certified ultrasound instructor and the author of both national and international training courses.
